Happy Fall Everyone! Pumpkin spice season has arrived. Scroll down for our most recent blog post, updates, reminders and important announcements.
Cancellation Policy – PLEASE READ
Our standard policy has not changed in years. It is part of the paperwork you sign upon becoming a patient and is communicated on every email you receive from the clinic. It is also posted at the front desk. If you have a special circumstance or medical necessity for your cancellation, please contact our office directly at (424) 410-9377.
48-hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to provide 48 hours advance notice, you will be charged for the full amount of that appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. If we are able to fill your cancelled appointment, we will not charge you for the late cancellation.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show” and will be charged for that appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for cost of the full session. Out of respect and consideration for your therapist, other patients, and especially yourself (you deserve this time!) please plan accordingly and be on time. We suggest you arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment to ensure that you have time to check in.
Sickness
In this case, sharing is NOT caring! If you are sick or contagious (or are exhibiting symptoms), please reschedule your appointment for another time. For the wellness of all of our patients, we must decline treatment to anyone who arrives to a session sick. Arriving to a session sick will be treated as a no-show (see above).

Scapular Pain: Common Misconceptions
Pain around the shoulder blade—also known as scapular pain—is surprisingly common, yet often misunderstood. People may blame the wrong muscle, ignore deeper issues, or over-treat the wrong area.
In this post, we’ll unpack some of the most common misconceptions about scapular pain so you can better understand what’s really going on and how to find lasting relief.
Misconception #1: It’s Always a Muscle Knot
The truth: Not all scapular pain is caused by muscle tension or “knots.”
While tight muscles (like the rhomboids, trapezius, or levator scapulae) can certainly create discomfort, scapular pain can also stem from nerve irritation, poor posture, referred pain from the spine, or even internal organ issues.
If you’ve been chasing the same knot with massage guns or foam rollers without real relief, it might be time to consider other sources.

Some of you may recall that until summer of 2024 we also provided acupuncture services. At that time we put those services on hold to focus on our physical therapy and manual therapy services. We are now considering adding those services back into our offerings and would like to know if you would be interested in receiving Acupuncture with a licensed acupuncturist and chronic pain specialist.
Acupuncture in this setting supports our rehab and chronic pain patients and aides in speeding up recovery times.
Please fill out the acupuncture feedback form when you are in the clinic for your next appointment.
