Notice of Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate of Expected Charges Under the No Surprises Act

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
  • Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who self-pay for their services an estimate of the bill for medical items and services (including physical therapy).
  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including physical therapy services.
  • Ensure your physical therapist gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your services begin. You can also ask your physical therapist and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Manual Therapy

Our California state certified Manual Therapists directly work soft tissue, muscles, and joints to remove pain or swelling, improve range of motion, enhance musculoskeletal alignment, and improve proprioception. This treatment can also use instruments to achieve the desired goal. This is sometimes called Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM). Myofascial Decompression Therapy (aka Cupping Therapy) using silicone, plastic, or glass “cups” is also utilized by our team to address soft tissue adhesions.

We offer manual therapy in 30 and 60-minute sessions. Our providers integrate a wide range of techniques including:

  • Acupressure (TCM based)
  • Movement Re-education
  • IASTM/Graston Technique®
  • Myofascial Release
  • Neuromuscular Therapy
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation
  • Stretching
  • Sports Massage
  • Massage Therapy
  • Trigger Point Therapy
  • Lymphatic Drainage Massage

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

Our Exercise Physiologists and Corrective Exercise Specialists will assess your functional movement and determine the root cause(s) of dysfunctional movement patterns that can lead to imbalances with posture, proprioception, and coordination. Contraindications to Treatment

There are certain conditions with which you should not be receiving manual therapy. This includes: all contagious diseases, fever, colds (no matter how mild!), flu, shingles, recent operations, acute injury, uncontrolled diabetes, and uncontrolled hypertension.

Working with individuals with the above health conditions not only endangers our patients, it endangers our providers. If our staff or additional on-site providers have even the mildest cold, they are unable to work so they don’t pass the virus along to our more fragile patients. Please respect our rules. They are in place to keep you safe!

If you have any questions about whether or not you are able to receive treatment, please give us a call. We are happy to assess if it is safe for you to receive treatment or if your appointment should be rescheduled.
