Breathwork: Relaxing Breath & Dancing Fingers

Equal Breath 5:5 with Dancing Fingers Mudra

  • Inhale for a 5 second count, exhale for a 5 second count
  • Touch your thumbs to your index fingers (on same hand), inhale/exhale for a count of 5:5.
  • Touch your thumbs to your middle finger, inhale/exhale for a count of 5:5.
  • Touch your thumbs to your ring finger, inhale/exhale for a count of 5:5.
  • Touch your thumbs to your pinky finger, inhale/exhale for a count of 5:5.
  • Inhale for a 5 second count, exhale for a 5 second count

Repeat until you aren’t focusing on your breath or aren’t focusing on your fingers touching each other.

 

4:7:8 Relaxing Breath

  • Rest the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth behind your top teeth.
  • Inhale completely for a 4 second count
  • Hold your breath for a 7 second count
  • Exhale completely for an 8 second count
  • Repeat 4 times. You may slowly work up to repeating 8 times.
